Equipping Area Volunteers to aid expansion
As part of our services we are getting enquiries from every part of the United Kingdom and we will need to build on this and reach out to these areas on a rolling basis. We are therefore looking to recruit and train dedicated volunteers to be our representatives in each County and not just be our ambassadors but use their local knowledge to help us grow.
County Ambassadors
We are looking for Volunteer Ambassadors who will be trained in all areas of our work and will represent us at special events and community activties so people know about our services
Community Volunteers
We are looking at training over 1000 community volunteers across the country to help Veterans Living with Dementia to attend our support groups and cafes. Usually a weekly commitment for two hours
Event Coordinators
SOUTH COAST OF ENGLAND
We are seeking volunteers to attend special events with our team and to raise awareness of our work and to let us know of any events that they feel would be benificial for us to attend
Dementia Ambassadors
If you are a Dementia Ambassador in any Country, we would like to hear from you as we will have significant numbers of volunteers who would like the Dementia Friends training
Armed Forces Champions
Are you an Armed Forces Champion? We would like to connect with you and explain more about our services so that you can use the information to reach out to your local veterans communities
Befrienders
We hear every week of Veterans living with Dementia who are lonely and isolated in their homes or care homes. We will be launching a dedicated befriending service for those who are lonely and isolated and will also provide dedicated training and support before starting
