PROTECT VETERANS IN CARE HOMES
There has long been a problem that when someone in care runs out of their private funding, there is a high risk of them being moved to a lower cost care home. We believe that a veteran living in a care home or nursing home then this could be their forever home and save them the distress of being moved out We have therefore launched an appeal to ask the Government to create a fund that subsidises care fees when their own fees have run out
A HOME FOR LIFE
There are many Veterans living in Care Homes/Nursing homes for their final years who may be faced with having to move out of the homes and into lower cost homes. We believe this is detrimental to their health and wellbeing and for many this change is likely to lead to their passing.
We want the Government to create a fund to ensure no veterans are forced to move out of their care home, which for many is their home where they have made friends and feel at peace

We call on the Government to create a fund to ensure that Veterans in Care Homes are not forced to change homes when their own private funding runs out. This can be especially hard for Veterans living with Dementia
